Capaz Law Firm Urges Tampa Drivers to Drive Safe & Alert
Drowsy Driving Prevention Week: September 1 – 9, 2016
In 2008, eight-year-old Ronshay Dugans was killed when a truck driver fell asleep at the wheel and slammed into her school bus in Tallahassee. The truck driver was reported to be fatigued and driving recklessly. The Dugans Family campaigned for new legislation to help save lives and worked to create the Ronshay Dugans Act to bring attention to the responsibility of drivers to remain alert and sober while behind the wheel. In memory of Ronshay, the Act designates the first week in September as Drowsy Driving Prevention Week in Florida.
