2023 Drunk Driving Prevention Scholarship

At Capaz Law Firm, we have seen firsthand the tragic effects that drunk driving has on individuals and families. Around one-third of all fatal car accidents in the United States involves a drunk driver. Despite public awareness campaigns about the dangers of this behavior, far too many people still choose to drive while intoxicated every single day.

As a personal injury lawyer, Dereck Capaz has witnessed the physical, emotional and financial consequences of drunk driving collisions. The pain of losing a loved one unexpectedly or suffering a catastrophic injury is difficult to put into words. He has dedicated his career to helping crash victims pursue the justice and compensation they need to make the fullest recovery possible.

To further encourage safe driving practices, attorney Dereck Capaz is offering an essay scholarship contest to students on the following topic:

What steps can young people take to prevent drunk driving, both for themselves and for their peers?
